If the number is greater than than economists’ consensus there is a 71.42% probability that USDCAD will trend up following the news event.

This probability is based on the last 12 US Existing Home Sales events, in which 5 of the last 7 events where the actual number was greater than than the economist consensus resulted in an up trend of USDCAD.
