If the number is greater than than economists’ consensus there is a 75% probability that USDCAD will trend up following the news event.

This probability is based on the last 12 AU Retail Sales MoM Final events, in which 6 of the last 8 events where the actual number was greater than than the economist consensus resulted in an up trend of USDCAD.
